Abha – Diamond Leadership Company, represented by its General Manager, Mr. Wisam Al-Omer, has signed a cooperation agreement with Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arefi, Head of the Health Cluster in the Asir Region, to launch the “Protect Your Heart” campaign in Abha and the broader Asir area, under the sponsorship of Bayer. This initiative aims to screen one million citizens over three years as part of a health awareness effort that began in Riyadh in 2023.
Mr. Wisam Al-Omer emphasized the importance of health awareness campaigns in enhancing quality of life, stating that these efforts align with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He added, “The ‘Protect Your Heart’ campaign aims to empower individuals to maintain their health through early screening and awareness of health risks, significantly contributing to improved public health and reduced risks.”
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arefi highlighted the importance of supporting voluntary initiatives that promote prevention before the need for hospitalization or doctor visits. He remarked, “Disease prevention is a cornerstone of our health strategies. Through these initiatives, we aim to achieve the objectives of Vision 2030 by building a sustainable health sector that prioritizes prevention over treatment, ensuring a better life for citizens.”
During a coordination meeting in the Asir region, Mr. Wisam Al-Omer also met with the Deputy Secretary of the Abha Chamber of Commerce to discuss enhancing health and awareness campaigns, particularly those focused on assessing cardiovascular health risks in the private sector. They encouraged companies and organizations to launch initiatives and screen their employees to ensure their health and safety.
The Deputy Secretary of the Abha Chamber praised such initiatives, underscoring the importance of the Chamber’s involvement, along with all commercial chambers in the Kingdom, in empowering both health and non-profit sectors, as well as supporting logistics companies to achieve these vital health and social objectives. The campaign, based on an expansive strategy, aims to reach various regions across the Kingdom. Following the agreement in Asir, the initiative will expand to other areas, starting with Al-Qassim, then moving to the Northern Borders, Western, and Eastern regions, in order to fulfill its health and social goals.
